Too late

In a beautiful castle of clouds higher than any dream in the sky,
There lived a gorgeous angel with great diamond wings to fly.
She was on her way back to heaven, when she spotted a glimpse of hell.
Curious as she was, she stopped, the devil broke her wings and she fell.
God told her about His garden, where she could live in peace.
But all she wanted was the unknown and that was her disease.
Now she's lost in a prison of darkness, her wings can't carry the weight.
She will never find her way back to heaven, it's too far gone, it's far too late.
